Mr Thistlethwaite claimed Mr Dutton had several opportunities to ask further questions during meetings with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, prompting Ms Hughes to fight back. She went on to accuse Mr Albanese of dismissing Labor’s Attorney General Mark Dreyfus’ concerns that matters would end up in the high court, rattling the Liberals' faith that it had been properly evaluated.
