80% 5G coverage of populated areas expected by early next year, says communications and digital minister.

As of Aug 31, the 5G network coverage in populated areas in Malaysia has reached 68.8%, and is expected to touch 80% by the end of this year or early next year, he added. Last week, reports claimed that PLUS Malaysia Bhd’s former CEO Azman Ismail has emerged as the leading candidate to lead DNB.
