Teens 'coughed on fruits and vegetables at grocery store’ amid coronavirus in disturbing social media trend
TEENAGERS are filming themselves coughing on produce in grocery stores and then posting the videos to social media amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The post read: “The investigation concluded the teenagers were getting close to other patrons and coughing into their own sleeves, while filming it on their phones.” The two juveniles questioned admitted to their involvement, and it was determined that there was no criminal intent.The department noted that the actions of the teenagers appears to be part of a growing and "disturbing trend" amid the deadly COVID-19 outbreak, which has resulted in schools being closed across the country.
The police urged parents to “talk with your children and explain to them why such behavior is wrong.”
