A teenager was arrested after groping a woman in a random attack at a St. George parking garage, authorities said.
On Nov. 18, a woman reportedly called St. George Police dispatch and reported that she had been assaulted in a parking garage located at 38 W. Tabernacle St. The woman alleged that she and the suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Oliver Hepworth, first crossed paths in a courtyard near the garage before she boarded the elevator. Hepworth then appeared in the doorway and entered the elevator with the victim and one other woman.Murder of pregnant woman in her car in Seattle was random attack, docs sayPolice documents stated that Hepworth approached the victim from behind once she was at her car and had the driver’s side door open.
When asked about the assault, Hepworth stated “that when he gets high, he gets” sexually aroused. He admitted to grabbing the victim in an attempt to touch her inappropriately, releasing her only once she began screaming. Hepworth was booked into the Washington County Jail on a third-degree felony count of attempted forcible sexual abuse, a third-degree felony count of aggravated kidnapping, and a Class B misdemeanor of assault.
