Picture: Supplied "The balance clearly comes down in favour of the public interest in allowing full reporting of these proceedings," he added, acknowledging the decision was an"exceptional" case.
Under UK law, media outlets would have been allowed to name the 17-year-old once he legally reached adulthood.
