Fire crews tackled the blaze for hours
Emergency services were called to the scene in the Bon Accord Square area on Wednesday after the alarm was raised at around 10.30pm.Officers initially responded to reports of a disturbance in the area before arriving and discovering a fire within a flat.
Police confirmed they are treating the fire as wilful and that a 15-year-old girl has been charged in connection with the alleged incident.It is understood that no one was injured during the reported incident.spokesperson said: “We were called around 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 19, to a report of a disturbance in the Bon Accord Square area of Clydebank.
“Officers attended and there was a fire within a flat. The building was evacuated and the road was closed.“A 15-year-old girl has been charged in connection with wilful fire-raising and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in due course.” A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added:"We received a 999 call at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 19, to reports of a flat on fire in Bon Accord Square in Clydebank.
"Operations control mobilised three pumps and aerial to the scene. Crews left in the early hours of the morning."
