Police say it was 'a very tough day for local emergency services' after several incidents in a few hours.
A teenage girl has died after getting trapped under a boat and a man also died in another incident off the coast, say police in Cornwall.
The girl was in a small group in a rigid-hulled inflatable boat near Porthilly Rock in Wadebridge on Monday afternoon. Police said the air ambulance and coastguard rescued three people and took them to the lifeboat house before heading to Treliske Hospital.In another incident, at around 2.30pm, a man was pulled from the sea by a member of the public at Treyarnon Bay in Padstow.Devon and Cornwall Police said they were also called to a third incident at around the same time, following reports surfers had pulled a man unconscious from the sea in Porthtowan, Truro.
