AN Afghan teenage girl has been hailed a 'heroine' for shooting dead two Taliban fighters and injuring several others after they killed her parents.
Qamar Gul, who lives in the central province of Ghor, was at home last week when her father, the village chief, was dragged from the house and executed by insurgents for supporting the government. When his wife resisted, the terrorists killed her too. Gul stormed out of the house armed with her family's AK-47 and gunned down a pair of fighters, according to local police chief Habiburahman Malekzada.
