Kain Heiland was fatally shot by a 13-year-old boy on April 1 in York County. “It’s been 30 days of hell,” a neighbor said. “There’s a lot of healing that needs to take place on this block.”
Kain Heiland, 12, was shot and killed April 1, 2023, on the first block of First Avenue in Red Lion. Pennsylvania State Police said Kain's 13-year-old friend shot him, but no charges have been filed. After a 12-year-old boy was killed down the street last month, a Red Lion woman created a memorial on the sidewalk for a young boy, Kain Heiland.
She added an Easter basket, and later cards and a party hat for Kain’s birthday on April 23. He would have turned 13. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
