A teenager was shot and killed in his car when another car’s occupants fired at him Sunday evening in Stafford, Houston Police Department officials said.
The shooting occurred at 7 p.m. in a residential area at 12600 Ashford Meadow Drive. Witnesses told police gunfire came from a four-door sedan with dark-tinted windows, aiming at the car the teen was in.Acquaintances of the teen took him to an assisted living center at 11929 West Airport Blvd. in Stafford, believing it was a hospital, police said. Paramedics arrived at the assisted living center along with officers from the Stafford Police Department.
When officers arrived they found the teen on the ground with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he died. The 17-year-old’s identity is awaiting verification from the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. Houston police began an investigation when it was revealed the shooting occurred in Houston, not Stafford.
