Goalkeeper Ryan Kerr is just 18 but has already made his mark at Crusaders
Ryan Kerr might just be 18 years of age but he feels he has banked plenty of experience since joining Crusaders.
"I moved to Crusaders when I was still 15 and within a couple of months I was playing in the reserves. They found themselves without a goalkeeper so I was playing regularly, which was like being thrown into the deep end. At 37 years of age, the ex-Linfield and Partick Thistle shot-stopper is entering the twilight of his career, while Kerr is just embarking on his.
"He is approaching the end of his career and I am just starting mine, so there is a good balance there. "I started in the Shield against Knockbreda, and I am hoping this is my tournament to play games and gain more experience. That seems to be the plan anyway," Kerr said. "The manager has been very good as well. He is exploring new ways of playing and adopting his own style, and he is giving youth a chance.
