A Florida teenager pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for a fatal crash where he was driving at 151 mph.

A Florida teenager, who pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide , has been sentenced to 12.5 years in prison followed by seven years' probation. His driver license has been suspended for three years. He was driving a BMW M5 at 151 mph on State Road 7 near Delray Beach, when he crashed into an SUV with six people inside on January 27, 2022. The speed limit on that road in the area where the crash occurred is 55 mph. Galle was 17 at the time of the accident.

If he had gone to trial and been convicted, he could've faced up to 90 years in prison, given that each charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years behind bars. Galle read a brief statement in court Monday saying not a day goes by that Noah doesn't think about his actions and he wishes he had died. She also said he's truly sorry. Relatives of the six victims did not attend the hearing. A prosecutor said they did not object to the plea agreement. Galle did not comment as he left the courtroom. He agreed to turn himself in on February 3. 'No amount of time will bring back the victims for their families. My heart and our office's heart goes out to all the victims in this case. We feel this is an appropriate resolution,' said Al Johnson, Chief Asst. State Attorney.'The victims all have written to us that they do not object to this. Some of them didn't even want him to go to jail at all. One wanted us to drop the case entirely,' Johnson said
