Tragic news in the Outer Banks:
A view of a dune in Cape Hatteras National Seashore.A teenager from Virginia was killed atwhen a nearby dune collapsed into a hole he was digging and buried him under several feet of sand.
Family and friends went searching for the boy and eventually found him buried in the hole he had dug. Park officials said that the 17-year-old teen wasA loved one called 911 and emergency officials arrived and pulled the boy out as they did CPR. "Unfortunately, resuscitation efforts were not successful," park officials said.
