A 14-year-old charged with first-degree murder and robbery in the death of a tobacco shop employee will have his case tried as an adult.
Bre'juan Williams-Hampton appeared in Kanawha County Circuit Court Tuesday morning for a transfer hearing. His juvenile case was moved to adult status.
Both are charged with malicious wounding in connection with a shooting in the 800 block of Woodward Drive on Jan. 21 where a woman waswhile walking down the street. They are also charged with first-degree robbery in connection with an incident on Jan. 24 at a parking lot in the 300 block of Patrick Street where police said the boys robbed a man at gunpoint.
