The Miami Dolphins turned to third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson after Teddy Bridgewater exited Sunday’s game against the New York Jets with an elbow injury.
Bridgewater exited the game after taking a safety on the Dolphins’ first offensive play. Jets rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner drilled Bridgewater in the end zone, and the team was awarded two points as Bridgewater was flagged for intentional grounding.
The Dolphins announced that Bridgewater has an elbow injury, is being evaluated for a head injury and is questionable to return.
