In a new Q. & A., the former “Nightline” host Ted Koppel discusses his interviews with Henry Kissinger, who recently turned 100.
There is no question that Kissinger has done things that are worthy of opprobrium. There is no doubt about that. However, if you look back at a career, a public career, that began in effect when he was a young professor at Harvard, he was the first to point out that in the event of a major threat to the interests of the United States, the only available option to us was something that would effectively lead to the destruction of mankind.
