How did Bundy lure all of these women, including Kendall? He was often described by those that knew him, as well as the news media, as handsome and charismatic. He seemed like the all-American boy next door.Photo Courtesy of Amazon Prime Video., details of this infamous serial killer have been told many times before by men but now it’s time to tell the story from the female perspective.
During the 1970s women were finding their independence with the support of the feminist movement. Perhaps this was the catalyst that set off Bundy’s rage. He had a pathological hatred of women. At that time, Kendall wasn’t privy to this side of her boyfriend. He was good to her and her young daughter and he was seemingly on his way to a successful career as a lawyer. He would, however, disappear for days at a time and Kendall would wonder what she did to make him pull away.
“The real question is why she said yes now and how that happened. I believe there are reasons, including the fact we bonded,” explains Wood. The two women quickly realized they had a lot in common: they are close in age, both are recovering alcoholics with decades of sobriety and both are single mothers.Photo Courtesy of Elizabeth Kendall/Amazon Prime Video.
