Chinese mobile phone maker, Tecno, has revealed the Pocket Go, a gaming handheld console with its own pair of AR glasses. The device is powered by AMD's new Hawk Point Ryzen 7 8840HS and features 16GB RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a replaceable battery.

During MWC 2024, Chinese mobile phone maker, Tecno , revealed the Pocket Go , a gaming handheld console with an emphasis on augmented reality (AR). To that end, it comes with its own pair of AR glasses. Specs-wise, the Pocket Go is powered by AMD 's new Hawk Point Ryzen 7 8840HS and comes with a configurable power envelope of 20W, 30W, and 35W for peak performance. To keep the handheld cool, Tecno installed three copper heatpipes to help dissipate the heat generated by it.

Other specifications include 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 50Whr battery that is also replaceable. (Image source: Tecno.) On a related note, the integrated GPU of the 8840HS is still the same Radeon 780M, which comes with 12 RDNA3 Compute Units.
