TECNO, the leading technology and smartphone brand, is partnering with the Asian Communication Research Centre at Nanyang Technological University Singapore to study skin tone and smartphone portrait imaging preferences among Southeast Asian consumers.

The research will be led by Professor Jack Qiu from NTU’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, with contributions from Professor May O. Lwin, Associate Professor Elison Lim, and Associate Professor Lewis Lim from NTU’s Nanyang Business School. Professor Qiu emphasized the importance of understanding the diverse aesthetic preferences in Southeast Asia.
