The Meta CEO has had a tumultuous history with Trump, having donated some $400 million—along with his wife—to support election infrastructure during the pandemic in a move that some Republicans criticized as a veiled effort to help President Joe Biden win the 2020 election.However, Bezos announced his donation the following day, with The New Republic calling the move effectively a decision to 'bend the knee' to Trump.
