Teboho Moloi has explained to the Siya crew why he is no longer head coach of Lesotho Premier League club Linare FC.
The former Chippa United mentor was appointed coach of Linare in 2020 and it's emerged that he is no longer in the hot seat, but remains part of the club in an advisory role. Speaking to the Siya crew, Moloi has confirmed that he has another opportunity outside football which he has decided to take. "I got an offer for an ambassador role at one of the companies here at home, so it will need me to be there full time.
"This role is something different to football. I don't see myself coaching anymore, especially in South Africa. The doors are closed, and it's not something I am prepared to fight and it ends there. I am not coming to South Africa for football. And once the tenure of the president at Linare ends, my advisory role will also end. They will be going for elections at the end of the season I think. If he does not win the elections, my role in football has ended.
"Let's see what happens, but I will not be lost to the team for as long as the president is still involved. It's just that the job I have here in South Africa wants me full-time, and it's not a coaching job. Once I have settled, I will tell you more about this job. What I am involved in is bigger than football."
