Karen Foster, 62, pleaded guilty to manslaughter following the death of Harlow Collinge
A childminder has pleaded guilty to killing a nine-month-old boy who died while she was caring for him. Karen Foster, 62, admitted that she had shaken Harlow Collinge in frustration after he fell from a chair and cried.
The case was brought after Harlow died from injuries he suffered at Foster's home in Hapton, Burnley. Emergency services were called there on March 1, 2022, to reports the little boy had collapsed.Harlow was taken to hospital where his parents rushed to be by his side. He was transferred to Manchester Children's Hospital but died from his injuries four days later.
