Black Adam is becoming a true predator.
As DC's most powerful antihero, Black Adam has killed scores of his enemies, delivering some of DC's most brutal kills of all time. However, now he's undergoing a transformation that will see him become even deadlier, "tearing people to shreds" as part of DC's upcoming Beast World event.
Essentially, to save the world from an ancient evil, Beast Boy becomes a Starro, transforming Garfield Logan into Garro, and he becomes lost by doing so. He creates spores like Starro all over the planet and creates animal/human hybrids all over the place. So we see things like Black Adam as a lion tearing people to shreds.
As Taylor describes, Beast World will see Beast Boy awaken his powers like never before, merging with the alien overlord Starro the Conqueror, who is usually able to control others. Instead, the new 'Garro' will transform them, unlocking animal forms with relevance to each hero's personality, powers, or history.
