DOTHAN , Ala. - The city of Dothan is gearing up for one of its premier sporting events, as the 6th annual Dothan Diamond Classic is right around the corner! Dothan Leisure Services Assistant Director of Programs Kenny Thompson joined News4 Live at Lunch on Monday to reveal the pool play setups for this year’s tournament.
The Dothan Diamond Classic gives an opportunity for 20 Wiregrass area high school softball teams to showcase their talents and earn money and bragging rights for their respective programs.At the conclusion of pool play, the teams will receive their final ranking in their respective groups and be placed into a 20-team bracket to determine this year’s Dothan Diamond Classic champion.
