Mike Buddie, former athletic director at Army, joins TCU as their new Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Join us in welcoming Mike Buddie, our new Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, to the Horned Frog family!🐸 We are excited to see TCU Athletics continue to flourish under Mike’s leadership! Buddie also played a pivotal role in securing Army’s television contract with CBS and in extending partnerships with bowl games and Nike. “There’s no place like TCU — the perfect mix of excellent academic reputation, unbeatable campus experience, and sports that pack a punch,” Buddie said in a TCU statement. “I’m honored to join an organization that is committed to its mission and values but doesn’t shy away from prioritizing winning.” Buddie played for the Wake Forest baseball team before he graduated in 1993. He went on to play in MLB as a pitcher for the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers. He won a World Series with the Yankees in 1998. Following his baseball career, Buddie returned to Wake Forest as a member of its athletic staff. He then was the athletic director at Furman before moving on to Army.
