‘Midnights’ could very well be Taylor Swift’s most personal album yet.
, she did reveal that her boyfriend provided some of the inspiration for one of the tracks off her new album,in the countdown to the release of her album later this month, during which she reveals the names of some songs off her forthcoming record. In each episode, Swift turns a bingo cage full of balls in order to randomly select which track she announces next.
Swift then confessed that this song isn't a generalization, but pulls from her personal life. “Like my relationship for six years, we've had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it,” Swift said. “And so this song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.” She also hinted in the Instagram caption that there would be much more to come, writing, “Tonight we mayhem til the morning.
The “All Too Well” musician surprised fans back in August at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards by announcing that she would be releasing her tenth studio album during her acceptance speech for video of the year. Swift told the audience, “I wouldn't be able to re-record my albums if it weren't for you.
