In a statement provided to EW on Monday, the spokesperson said of the incident, "Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water." Swift's team declined to comment further. A spokesperson for the New South Wales Police Force confirmed to EW that authorities are investigating an alleged assault on Sydney's North Shore in the early hours of Tuesday, local time, though they declined to identify the parties involved. Swift and her father were in the city after a sold-out four-show stint there on her Eras Tour.
"Police have been told a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf about 2.30am , before leaving the location," authorities said in a statement. "The younger man reported the incident and inquiries are now underway by officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command. The man did not require medical treatment.
