Taylor Swift’s 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department has broken new records for Spotify, the streaming giant has said.became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day on Friday while Ms Swift became the most-streamed artist in a single day in the company’s history.
Ms Swift has described her new album as “anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time – one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure.” It contains an extra 15 tracks including “The Black Dog”, which is thought to be a reference to a pub in the same name in Vauxhall, south London. The original album has 16 tracks.
