Swift is the only artist to win the award for the third time, having previously been awarded in 2014 and 2019. To recall, the IFPI aims to promote the value of the recorded music industry worldwide, as it analyzes insights, production, and other music-related content among artists around the globe.The “Anti-Hero” hitmaker was praised for being a “truly magnificent international star” who continues to evolve her craft, according to a statement from IFPI chief executive Frances Moore in a release.
“It is a great pleasure to award the IFPI Global Recording Artist Award to Taylor Swift for an unprecedented third time in the chart’s ten-year history. Taylor is a truly magnificent international star, who continues to grow and evolve as an artist whilst maintaining an incredibly strong connection with her fans around the world,” she said.
