Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler and Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton in Yellowstone
The upcoming Yellowstone universe series, Dutton Ranch, receives a major update from director Christina Alexandra Voros. Dutton Ranch is a spinoff of Yellowstone and follows the story of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they start a new chapter of their lives running a ranch in Montana.
The show will see them work to defend their property and future from new rivals while raising their child, Carter. In an interview with ScreenRant's Liam Crowley for The Madison, Voros revealed that the production of one of the newest additions to Taylor Sheridan's ever-growing franchise is nearing the end of production. She stated that they were mere weeks away from wrapping up filming for Dutton Ranch season 1. She also expressed her excitement for both fans of Yellowstone and newer audiences to see the show."We are navigating our way through, sort of, the final weeks of the first season, and I'm really excited for people to see the show." Dutton Ranch isn't the only Sheridan project that Voros has worked on. She served as the director of the Yellowstone prequel series 1883, The Madison, and Frisco King. The director explained that the confidence she has regarding these projects stems from Sheridan’s loyal following. The Yellowstone universe has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to attract big-name actors and maintain a solid audience. That momentum has helped the creator build a strong following and the ability to captivate people who are new to the franchise. Vorors expressed her gratitude for being able to take part in such a well-established and beloved world. She also felt very lucky to have the support of a studio as big as Paramount. She described her experiences working on Sheridan's projects as a joy, creatively rewarding, and very exciting. It's hard to feel anything other than confident when you're working with scripts like this. It's clear in the terms of the caliber of actors that are attracted to these roles. It's clear in terms of the audience reception to these stories. It's a real gift, as a director, to be able to play in a space that is so robustly loved, and supported by the studio and the network. Dutton Ranch does not have an official release date at the time of this article's publication. However, it has been speculated that it will premiere in late 2026.
