Former Nottingham Forest star Lyle Taylor is yet to find himself a new club after a recent spell with Sheffield Wednesday came to nothing.
"We need to think about the situation," he said earlier this month. "We will see what happens. We need to find exactly what we want. I don't know exactly if he is what we want or what we need. With the change in manager, Taylor's brief stint at Hillsborough didn't materialise into something bigger. In a recent interview with our sister title BirminghamLive, Taylor said: "Life is a little bit more difficult, with not having a club currently, but that's the other side of the beast, which is what people don't see. That is what it is.
"I've been doing commentary and punditry for two years, but ultimately I'm 33, able bodied and I can still score goals. I can still score goals, as proven by the fact that the goal doesn't move. I go away on international duty, I know people will say it's not the same standard, but you still have to put the ball in the net.
