While “Back to December” is widely considered to be an apology to Lautner, “Dear John” is a scathing single believed to be about Swift’s short-lived romance with Mayer.
In return, the 45-year-old guitarist is speculated to also have written about Swift, 33, with his 2013 track “Paper Doll,” which he admitted 10 years later was a “bitchy” move.She is believed to have written “Dear John” about their relationship.“I try not to give bitchiness in the songs.
