Police in Utah are reportedly investigating a third alleged incident of domestic violence involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen.
Specifics about the incident are scarce, though Mortensen reportedly contacted police in West Jordan, Utah, last month with allegations tied to a 2024 incident. A spokesperson for the West Jordan PD told NBC that it is reviewing videos connected to the alleged incident while sorting out a timeline and details.
Mortensen has reportedly spoken to the police about the alleged incident, and while Paul has not, the cops have spoken to her lawyer. Investigators want Paul to either come in for an interview or submit a written statement as they attempt to corroborate Mortensen’s report. Reps for Paul declined to comment. The West Jordan PD and a lawyer for Mortensen did not immediately return requests for comment. in Draper, Utah, launched a domestic-assault investigation into Paul and Mortensen. Similarly, details are scant, but the police said “allegations have been made in both directions,” and that both parties were contacted in late February. Reports have indicated that the incident occurred while production for the hit reality series was ongoing, but not while cameras were rolling. Additionally, Paul was arrested in 2023 after allegedly choking, striking, and throwing stools at Mortensen, with one of them allegedly hitting her daughter from a previous relationship. Paul wound up pleading guilty to a count of aggravated assault, while other charges were dismissed. Video of that 2023 incident notably surfaced after the news broke of a domestic-violence allegation from February.
