Taylor Frankie Paul's Legal Battle with Ex-Husband Intensifies
UtahChild And Family ServicesJuvenile Court

Utah's Division of Child and Family Services filed a petition asking a juvenile court to find that Taylor Frankie Paul's three children are 'abused, neglected or dependent.' The filing also asked the judge to order protective supervision services, appoint a guardian ad litem to represent the children, and issue any additional orders deemed to be in their best interests. Paul's ex-husband, Tate Paul, filed a temporary restraining order in a Utah court, seeking to limit her access to their children. Paul welcomed the added structure and oversight provided by the juvenile court and remained committed to normalizing custody and becoming the healthiest version of herself. She also expressed gratitude for the professionalism of DCFS and its representatives. Paul appeared in court and received more unsupervised time with her youngest child, Ever, while her ex-husband was granted longer weekends with their son, Ocean. Despite claims from Mortensen's legal team that Paul has taken 'less than half' of her allocated parenting time, the judge ruled in her favor.
