Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said taxation will not go overboard when the 2024 budget is finalised.

“It is our intention to ensure that both foreign and domestic investors would see it as an opportunity to enter the business enterprise that would reward them,” he said when opening the National Tax Conference 2023 today. “We can approve contracts whether they are for flood mitigation or Jana Wibawa , and yet such funds have been siphoned off. Now, this has to stop and it must stop now.”
