People living in Pennsylvania may be eligible for an additional $650 tax rebate from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue before 2022 comes to an end.
Pennsylvanians who were already"approved for a rebate on property taxes or rent paid in 2021 will receive an additional one-time bonus rebate later this year," the state's Department of Revenue said on its website. The department also noted that"the one-time bonus rebate will be equal to 70% of your original rebate amount," which was a maximum of $650 for non-homeowners and $975 for qualifying homeowners. Both groups will receive an additional $455 and $682.
The deadline to apply for rebates was also extended to Dec. 31, with no additional application needed for the bonus rebate.This rebate program applies to those 65 years and older, widows over 50, and those with disabilities over 18. However, the spouses, parents, and estates of those eligible may also receive the rebate on behalf of the claimant as long as that person lived for at least one day in 2021, according to the website.
