Bafana Bafana attacker Percy Tau has assured South Africans that the team is making progress ahead of Bafana's friendly match against Namibia.
Tau and Co are set to take on Namibia at Orlando Stadium on Saturday as the first of two friendlies to be played in September as part of the preparation for next year's Africa Cup of Nations .
Ahead of the match, the Al Ahly striker has shared his thoughts on the progress of the team and the scrutiny from South African supporters. "I think South Africans are very demanding because we are a proud nation and South Africans really believe that we have good players that play in the league and abroad," Tau said at the 10bet media breakfast on Thursday. "So, whenever it's time to compete, we always enjoy seeing South Africa at the top. We also want to get there but we have had our difficulties but then you can see now the team is getting better," he added.
