Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Tasmania and the Northern Territory are “on the way” to a recession followed closely by South Australia.
“At a time the Reserve Bank Governor says we need to get productivity going quick smart, to accommodate wage rises without interest rate
hikes – we’ve in fact seen productivity go backwards in the March quarter by 0.3 per cent, leading to a decline of 4.6 per cent over the past year.”
