A task force appointed to strengthen the city’s regulations for metal and automotive recycling plants is on hold because too few members were attending the meetings. And the ones who were regularly showing up either own or are employed by recycling companies. The 16-person task force, evenly split between community members and industry leaders, started meeting in September to take a look at two chapters of city code dealing with used auto parts recyclers and metal recycling companies.
