Several officials leading the government's efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease have conducted a top level meeting with executives of the Ayala Corp. and its health arm, the Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health), to 'discuss best practices' in addressing the pandemic, the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 reported Monday.

Several officials leading the government’s efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease have conducted a top level meeting with executives of the Ayala Corp. and its health arm, the Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. , to “discuss best practices” in addressing the pandemic, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 reported Monday.

During the meeting, the NTF said AC Health President and CEO Paolo Borromeo presented the company’s “Project T3.” The collaboration led to the establishment of four Qualimed hospitals which are capable of conducting around 800 to 1,000 reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction tests per day. The AC Health has also donated RT-PCR machines to the University of Cebu Medical Center and Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao, took part in the conversion of the World Trade Center into one of the country’s mega quarantine facilities, and donated swabbing booths to the mega swabbing facilities.

Meanwhile, Ayala Corp. chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala reaffirmed the private sector’s continued commitment to aid the government in the fight against the deadly disease.
