Tarkov will be launching a new winter wipe soon and Twitch Drops will be returning to help players get started.
To celebrate the upcoming winter wipe , social media accounts promise free in-game items to kickstart your wipe. The Twitch Drops campaign is scheduled to begin on December 30, 2024, and last until January 8, 2025, providing ample time to earn rewards. These drops will commence at 1 PM GMT / 8 AM EST on December 30 and continue until 1 PM GMT / 8 AM EST on January 8. During this period, you can acquire in-game items by watching streamers on Twitch who are playing Tarkov .
However, not all streamers will offer drops continuously. Participating streamers must sign up and select two specific time slots for drops on their streams. This means passively watching a single stream for an extended period won't guarantee a large amount of items. As the Twitch Drops campaign nears, streamers will likely announce their active drop periods, allowing you to plan accordingly. A notable feature is that streamers' in-game performance influences the quality of your drops. If the collective group receiving drops achieves specific in-game objectives, the next day's drops will be more substantial. While there's no guarantee of specific items, the announcement suggests a possibility of obtaining rare items like Bitcoin, graphics cards, and some of the 'Tipping Point' items, possibly on December 26, considering the usual buffer time for bug fixes before Twitch Drops launch. To participate in Twitch Drops, ensure you take necessary steps beforehand to be eligible for rewards
