Tanya Plibersek has received a defamation concerns notice from Liberal Senator Linda Reynolds who claims the Labor Minister said Senator Reynolds had “covered up” the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins.
Senator Reynolds is alleging that Ms Plibersek defamed her during an interview on Seven’s Sunrise program by claiming she “covered up” the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins.
Labor's Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek has been issued with a defamation concerns notice by Liberal Senator Linda Reynolds. “The central point here is that a young woman made an allegation that she had been sexually assaulted in her workplace and that it had been inappropriately investigated, even covered up by her employers,” Ms Plibersek said.
