PETALING JAYA: National mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei are keen to step up and make their mark in higher-tier tourneys.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei, who were only paired together last November, have shown much promise so far in their brief partnership.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei also did well to reach the quarter-finals of the higher-tier Malaysian Open last month. “We feel though, that we could have done better in our match against India’s world No. 26 Ishaan Bhatnagar-Tanisha Crasto when we lost 19-21, 21-19, 16-21,” said Ee Wei.“After this we want to bounce back and go as far as possible in our upcoming tournaments.’’
“For now, we are scheduled to play in five tournaments but the coaches will make the final decision on our participation.“We have not discussed on specific targets yet but it will be great if we can win at least one title,” said Ee Wei.
