The police chief of Tampa has resigned after bodycam footage showed her flashing her badge to get out of a traffic stop.

Body camera footage released by the Tampa Police Department shows former Police Chief Mary O'Connor flashing her badge after she and her husband were pulled over for driving an unregistered golf cart on public roads.In body camera footage, a county sheriff's deputy explains the cart didn't have a license plate tag despite being driven on a roadway, a violation of local traffic laws.
Later in the exchange, O'Connor apologizes and hands over her business card, saying,"if you ever need anything, call me. Seriously. I appreciate you."
