It should be noted that Oats will be returning as head coach. Oats signed an extension through 2030, keeping him in Alabama with a hefty buyout for 2025 and 2026. Through five seasons with UA, Oats has cemented himself as a premier coach with four league titles and multiple NCAA Tournament runs.Alabama’s holdovers aren’t the only reason many are projecting UA as a preseason top-five.
