, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, and seeks more than $1 million in damages. Davenport is seeking compensation for medical expenses, funeral and burial expenses, and estate damages, among other things, according to the lawsuit.
The Houston Police Department in December arrested and charged Patrick Clark, a self-employed DJ and promoter, with homicide in Ball's death. "Defendants owed a duty to keep the premises and approaches safe for their invitees, including Mr. Ball," the lawsuit said.
