the “last movie stars,” at least in terms of how we previously defined stars?we look into the idea that maybe the traditional idea of a “movie star,” someone who is an instant box office draw no matter what they are in, is a relic of the past. Then again, we also wonder that maybe it is really Newman’s younger co-star in 1986’sTom Cruise, who is the real last movie star — at least in terms of being able to open a movie on his name alone.
