The other case is a Nigerian national who arrived in the country from Nigeria on Nov. 30 aboard Oman Air with flight number WY 843. His sample was collected on Dec. 6 and he tested positive for COVID-19 on Dec. 7. He is asymptomatic and is now in the BOQ isolation facility. He urged people to get vaccinated, wear face masks and observe social distancing as protection against the Omicron variant.
