Taguig LGU designates firecracker zones

The Taguig City government has announced areas in different barangays designated as firecracker zones where people can safely welcome the New Year.

This is based on City Ordinance No. 87, enacted in 2018, which the city government said provides that “it shall be unlawful for any person to distribute, discharge, explode, or cause to discharge or to explode any firecrackers, pyrotechnic device, or any such other similar device outside the designated Firecracker Zones.”Here are the firecracker zones in Taguig:• Palingon – At the back of Barangay Hall, Pk. 1 F. Dingguin Bayan Open Court and Pk.

Michael and Open Basketball Court near Barangay Hall• Bagumbayan – Open Area in front of CP Sta. Teresa Elementary School or Open Area at the back of Barangay Hall• Napindan – Samama Open Area in Purok 5 extension Tabing Ilog, and Purok 5 • New Lower Bicutan – No Firecracker Zone• Ibayo-Tipas – No Firecracker Zone• Central Bicutan – Osano Park• Katuparan – Open space of Materials Recovery Facility , 7th Street– Zone 9 cor. Ballecer St.
