Tacoma police are investigating after an overnight drive-by shooting and pedestrian-vehicle collision Saturday that they believe may be linked.
Officers were dispatched at 1:38 a.m., after South Sound 911 received a call from a woman who said she had just been shot in a drive-by shooting.
Police arrived at the scene in the 3500 block of South Union Avenue, where they found the 32-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries near a Tacoma Public Utilities guard shack.A 31-year-old male was also in the vehicle at the time of the shooting but was uninjured. He told police that the driver had just made a left-hand turn onto South Union Avenue from South 35th Street when the suspect vehicle pulled up alongside them and shot at them.
